Planning the new year.
Happy new year everybody! Do you believe that we need to plan our lives? I find that hard to answer because sometimes the best things in life come totally unexpected. Do you plan for this year?
I know the things I should do, but it makes me restless to think about how to record them. Anyway, many of us are planning the new year in January.
And if you are you like me then you need a calendar. I made a calendar for 2017 which is free to download for all my fantastic art friends that have signed up to the VIP Library. A big thank you for following me If you haven’t signed up yet you can do it here: free calendar.
You know how great it feels when you realize a dream that you planned in January. If you have goals and you struggle and your dream comes true, then you should give yourself a little present. The present can be anything, like taking off some “me time” from a hectic family of work life, two hours can do wonders, or for example give yourself a new pencil, watercolor or what about a red lipstick.
Start planning for your new creative year, here are my tips.
- Take notes of what things make you feel curious. Are there some things you always wanted to do? Why not try them out! And that is especially if you dreamt of doing them for over a long time already.
- Don’t forget how you eat an elephant – you take just one bite at a time. Imagine if you started a few years ago learning that new language, or playing that new musical instrument or taking some art lessons. Think how much you would know today! Don’t be afraid. Take one bite today. and another bite tomorrow and soon you will be very happy with your progress.
- Find your sketchbook and draw and writing down your dreams (this one is real magic). Some of them will come true and bring you further into your journey of creativity!!
I would love to hear your best tips for 2017.
