A SNEAK PEEK INTO THE SKETCHBOOK

I found a new app that I just love

In two days I have discovered amazing artists from around the world and connect with them on other social networks.

ohh WW. I am so happy to share this with all of you! I downloaded the app Sktchy about 2 days ago. I am always looking for ways to stay creative and this app totally rocks. I have been so inspired that I have made 7 sketches in 35 hours. (And I made you a video)

Sktchy is kind of like Instagram, but, here is how it goes.

  • You go into the app and find a photo that you like in someone’s profile and then you draw it. You have permission to draw from any of the photos.
  • After drawing, you share your drawing by uploading and attaching your artwork to your reference. Just by tapping the icon under the reference photo.
  • By swiping any artwork to the right in the app, you can view its reference photo.
  • You can upload your own photos so that other artists can draw you.

It is a very supportive and wonderful community so go for it! Be brave!! I really enjoyed the way you can collect lots of photos for inspiration in the app, like in Pinterest you can store pictures in one place. Cool!

A very big plus is that there are artists of all levels from professionals to amateurs who are sharing and supporting each other.

I really think Sktchy is for everybody who enjoys drawing portraits and wants to improve. it is wonderful for expanding your creativity.

There are much more things to this app, like the weekly challenge «Friday face». Have a look into it,  here is  Sktchy on Facebook

Hope to see you in Sktchy, and let’s connect.  Here you see my «Friday face».

This girl is very popular to draw, and I am sure you see why. In this drawing, I have been using my sharpie markers.
